From our early small-scale solar projects to the more complex, multi-megawatt renewable energy developments we deliver today, the journey of Emtec Energy reflects just how much both our business and the wider renewable energy industry have evolved.

Growing with the renewable energy sector

Over the years, we have continually expanded our experience, expertise and capabilities - progressing through increasingly complex commercial and industrial projects and into large-scale renewable energy delivery.

Today, Emtec Energy provides full turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) solutions across Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), supported by comprehensive Operations & Maintenance services.

Working alongside the specialist electrical engineering expertise of Emtec Utility Services, our combined capabilities extend to private HV infrastructure and grid connections - providing clients with an integrated approach to renewable energy delivery.

Our portfolio now spans water, manufacturing, food and drink, ports, aviation and major infrastructure, with projects delivered for some of the UK's most recognised organisations.

“Reaching 15 years is a fantastic milestone for Emtec Energy, but what makes me particularly proud is seeing just how far the business has come during that time.

We started in a very different renewable energy market, delivering small-scale solar PV and solar thermal installations across both residential and commercial markets. As subsidies such as FIT and RHI were removed, the market had to adapt - and so did we.

The journey hasn't happened overnight. It has been built project by project by an incredibly committed team, supported by our clients, partners and supply chain.

When I look at the portfolio we have delivered, the contribution we have made to the industry and the awards we have won, one thing stands out - the team we have built. It is quite an outstanding team of people and talent, and watching them progress over the years has definitely been the most rewarding part of the entire journey.

Today, we're delivering multi-megawatt solar and battery projects, working alongside our colleagues at Emtec Utility Services to provide the electrical and grid infrastructure needed to bring increasingly complex renewable energy projects to life.

While it's important to look back and recognise what we've achieved over the last 15 years, we're equally excited about what comes next. The scale of opportunity within renewable energy continues to grow, and we want Emtec Energy to keep growing with it.
