Solsgirth House & Home Farm, Dollar

Due to the historical significance of Solsgirth Home Farm and Solsgirth House, both buildings are listed by Historic Scotland under category B. Solsgirth House, built in 1870, is a stately baronial home and is about two miles from Dollar, while Solsgirth Home Farm was built in 1722.

The new owners of Solsgirth House & Home Farm contracted Emtec Energy to develop and install a rooftop solar PV system on the farmhouse, as well as implement a ground-mounted system in the grounds of the period house.

With the intention of reducing carbon emissions and protecting against rising energy costs, our client utilized roof and ground space to produce 79,130kWh per year, equating to a reduction of 37,166kg CO2.
