Edinburgh City Council hosted an event today to celebrate the completion of a 1.4MW solar PV framework across Edinburgh's public roof space.
The celebration took place at Currie Community High School, the site which features the largest installation at 250kW.
Those in attendance at the event included members of Edinburgh City Council, the Edinburgh Solar Co-op, Energy4All, Emtec Energy, school teachers and pupils and members of the local community, including investors for the project.
There were various talks regarding the councils commitments to renewable sources and future plans for the remaining investments. Our very own director Chris Clark made a speech on the works that took place and the overall impact this will have on the school and surrounding areas. This was followed up over cake, in the shape of a school installed with solar panels, see below.
