Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

This Renewable Heat Incentive is a government environmental programme, administered by Ofgem, to increase the uptake of renewable heating technology throughout mainland UK.

Based on the amount of heat produced, customers can receive quarterly bills for up to 7 years. The calculation is based on the belief that the system will last up to an expected 20 years. This can help contribute to a return on investment as well as reducing energy bills and CO₂ emissions.

Benefits of RHI

FI Icon 1

Generation Tariff

Your energy supplier will pay you a set rate depending on the amount of energy your system generates. This is calculated using the units generated (kWh) and the tariff level available

FI Icon 2

Export Tariff

You will also receive payments from your energy supplier for the additional units of energy to export back to the grid

Cheaper Energy Bills

Naturally, you will see an instant drop in energy bills as you are purchasing less electricity from your energy provider

Grid Network

Connection to the electricity network allows any excess power to be fed back to the grid. This means others can benefit from the generation of clean energy
